Dear family,
I dont have a lot of time to write, but I just wanted to say, that I am finally here in Buenos Aires. And boy do i have a story for you. I just got here yesterday. why? because i was stuck in atlanta. what happened was monday night while flying from SLC to Atlanta, we couldnt land in atlanta because there were storms. so we re-routed to tallahassee, florida. then we sat there and fueled up and waited for the storm to pass by. so then we got to Atlanta and missed our flight to Buenos Aires. Because they only have flights once every day to Buenos Aires, we took a shuttle to a bus and stayed in a hotel. we didnt keep any mission rules because we were up until 1am. we were in contact with the church travel offices this whole time. and it was crazy, craziness!!!
anyway, then we woke up and went back to the airport to try and get on a flight for that night. well, the problem was all nine of us in the group had to be put on stand-by and the church didnt want us to be separated so they told us they were going to send us to the atlanta south mission home and stay with the president (satterfield) and his wife for a day. man, it was crazy. it was like a little minnie vacation. i wished they would have put us to work, but they didnt. we did have a lot of good missionary opportunities in the airport though (because we spent HOURS in the airport...haha). anyway, now i can say ive been to georgia. it is so beautiful there.
anyway, then the next day we went to the airport early and finally got on our confirmed flight to buenos aires. it was cool to see the MANY opportunities we had to share the gospel that we may not have had if we hadnt been held up like that. the Lord works in mysterious ways. granted, there would have been tons regularly im sure, but still.
anyway, so im here in buenos aires. it is great. im in the city...no country for me. at least right now. i hope i get to some day, but right now nope. there is a lot of work to be done and we have a lot of people to teach. last month they got 200 baptisms for the mission and that is our goal again. i really hope we can get it. 200 more children of God entering into covenants...awesome! anyway, ill email again on monday. thats my p-day.
i love you all, and im happy and healthy. dont even worry.
love,
sarah
p.s. i can{t figure out how to use the apostrophe... maybe i{ll learn by monday.
