Week 10

Awesomest family ever,

guess what? i´m in argentina. oh wait. you already knew that. ok here is a little bit about argentina...or at least where i´m at.

my apartment is in the city. not sure which city...but one that is closer to buenos aires rather than further. we proselyte in two areas to either side of us. the ward i´m in had problems. on sunday we had 59 people attend and there are 300 members on the list. so basically everyone is in active. it is really sad. we can´t seem to talk any sense into them. it is also weird, because they respond differently than people in the united states, so i can´t every really tell if they are sincere. or maybe they are sincere, but not sincere enough to actually do something about anything. it is really sad.

also, i´m a little confused and trying to catch up. i´m trying to learn a whole bunch of peoples names and everyone has the same name (like 3 margaritas, 3 marias, 2 juans, etc. etc.) basically i´m just super confused, but i´m learning. i´m starting to get to know the area a little bit more, but there are no mountains, so i never know which directions i´m going. it is so weird. haha i love utah mountains. :)

let´s see. the other day we started talking to a man named leonardo and he seemed sincerely interested. so i hope as we go back to teach him (and his family...that is why it so sooo cool...a whole family!!!) he will realize that he needs this gospel. i hope we can teach by power. if we teach with the spirit, we will.

the lives of the people here are sad. they are all poor and they all have huge family problems. probably because a lot of them have kinds with several different people, and they can´t control their children. and they have no jobs. and everyone loves piercing in weird places ( i have seen nose ring more than earrings i´m pretty sure...haha jk. probably not). but basically argentina is awesome. and the food really is good. i don´t understand how people can really get fat, because i don´t feel like i really have that much of an opportunity to eat lots. i mean i eat at the memeber, but there isn´t much time at night when we come home and not much time in the morning. so i can´t eat loads and loads of food. i can only eat just enough. it is perfect. you don´t even have to worry about me getting fat and you don´t even have to worry about me starving. you just have to worry that i´ll be super out of shape. haha...because i am. but i can´t do much about it. i can´t go running....and i can´t jump rope (becaue of neighbors) and so all i can do is abs and stretch. but that´s ok.

the work is going well. i am starting to understand people more and more each day. it wasn´t too bad at first, but depending on the person i talk to...it is a little crazy. haha but guess what i´m understanding spanish more and more!! yaya
