Day 1 MTC

Hey y'all!

Como estas? haha

Today was fun. Um, I have not yet been able to unpack my stuff, but it has been a great time. We have had some meetings so they can tell us what some of the rules are, and I'm finally starting to learn where my residence hall is. I was pretty confused at first. Also, I had no idea how to wear my name tag, because they put one on my coat with a dot, then when I took my coat off, everyone was wondering what my name was. Oh, and the first couple times anyone asked what my name was I said, "Sarah." They all laughed and made fun of me. I told them not to make fun.

Anyway, in class today they all thought I was a little dummy and didn't understand anything they were saying, so it was really funny because I understood what they were saying. But the only problem was I couldn't speak worth beans. So they didn't let me eat my beans at dinner. Just kidding. Dinner was yummy and I think I gained 10 lbs. already. That's a joke too. I didn't even eat desert dad, be proud. You too Andrew...

One of the first Sisters I met after the Elders took me away was Sister Siepel (Mom, do you remember Melissa Siepel?!). Man, I was so happy to see her. She was my host and led me around until I got to class. As she was showing me around a bit I ran into Sister McAdams. Mom, this is Megan McAdams. She was on the team with me my freshman year. And I knew she came in the same day as me. It was fun. I also saw Hillary Olsen at dinner. I almost yelled out "Hillary!" but then I caught myself. Here on the mission anything but Elder or Sister is a bad word. It's because we are actually called, and we need to show everyone that we aren't kids anymore. That's what the President said. We can't say "guys" or dude. Haha I've said "guys" on accident several times. I'm learning though.

Oh, and no more gum...I'm sad. I love gum. Oh well.

Um, we got to sit in a room and help teach fake investigators today. They were really, really good actors. And it was really fun to teach. I really learned a lot.

But now they are trying to kick us off the computer. I guess this is a new thing letting us email on our first day.

I love you all! Sorry I was frustrated this morning....I think I was tired because I've been trying not to fall asleep all day.

Sister Yingling

p.s. Dad, you wouldn't believe. There are sisters with two bags as big as my huge 60 lbs. one. haha you don't even know. I packed semi-light. I feel good about myself.
