So, dear family,
This week we got taught a lesson or two by Elder Aidukaitis. I bet Jacob or Erik knows who he is and how he teaches. If not, look him up on youtube...you´ve got to find something. He is Brazilian, but i know he speaks Spanish (obviously) and English as well...so I bet you could all find something. Let´s just say he is brutal. haha. But i learned a LOT. I learned that I have a long way to go to be a better missionary, and I have lots and lots to improve. But sometimes it is good to be chastised with love because then you know what you have to do to do everything better.
So, this week was a good one. We got to do some service in a public hospital here. It was fun because I like to do stuff like that (painting, washing windows....you know, making stuff look better).
And we set a baptisimal date with a lady named Hilabia. She is really old, but looks like she is 55 or 56. She has been through tons of churches, and really has her mind thinking how the baptists think. But, the good thing is that she said that she is willing to change and that she wants to stick with us because she really felt something different when we first taught her. Because she is older, she doesn´t understand everything the first time, but she can feel the difference. That is huge. I love the Holy Ghost because we as missionaries really don´t do anything. If the Holy Ghost doesn´t reach their heart, they won´t have the desire to change or keep he commitments they need to keep. But, if the Holy Ghost touches their heart and they recognize it, the changing is always a lot easier.
So, things are coming along here. We really do see miracles every day, but I know we can see more. Pray that I will be able to change how I´m trying to change so we can see more miracles here.
I love you all...even though I didn´t even get any letters...or emails. ;)
Love, Sister Yingling
